Wednesday June 4 has been chosen as the day to start planting up the town’s containers and beds to ensure a beautiful display for the summer, and volunteers are welcome.

Any available people please meet at the Masonic Gardens at 10 am. You don’t have to be green fingered or even have green wellies, a job can be found for everyone.

Coincidentally the 4th June will also be Volunteers Day in Kirkby Stephen when the Volunteers Centre Eden is organising a showcase of local voluntary organisations and providing information in the Market Square 10.00 to 4.30.

You will find an organisation to join whatever your age or interests. Love to see you there.
