Christine Wilson, the owner of Enhance, is getting quite a reputation locally for raising money for charity as her well as hairdressing and beauty skills.
Her event in June raised £76 for the Meningitis Trust, raised in the
name of little Archie, and her next project was a raffle for Aveda
Earth Month 2007, a charity which has the admirable aim of making clean
water a human right. Every 15 seconds a child dies from lack of access
to clean water.
Bookmarks showing 10 tips to save water are included in the advertising literature.
In our often wet climate here in the north we tend to take water for
granted but there are, of course many areas, even in this country,
where water becomes scarce every summer.
Any donations will, no doubt, be very welcome.
